Most freelancers get this wrong

Here's something most freelancers get wrong...

They spend all their energy trying to find NEW people, when they've got money sitting right there in their existing audience.

Think about it.

You could totally sell something to:

  • Your email list (even if it's only 50 people)
  • Your social media followers
  • Past clients who loved working with you
  • People who enquired but didn't book
  • Someone who bought a low-ticket product 6 months ago

These people already know you, like you, or have worked with you. They're the warmest leads you'll ever get.

But most freelancers completely ignore them because they're too busy chasing strangers on the internet.

Here's what to do instead:

  1. Email your list once a week (yes, really).
Share tips, behind-the-scenes, stories, whatever, just stay in touch with people.
(Repurpose your social content into emails if you can't think of anything else to say)
  2. Reach out to past clients every few months to check in, not to sell to them, just to genuinely see how they're doing.
I'll tell you a story about someone who does this with us tomorrow, it might help inspire you.
  3. Follow up with people who enquired but didn't book. Maybe the timing wasn't right then, but it might be now.
  4. Post on social about what you're up to, what you're offering, and how people can work with you.

The leads are already there. You just need to nurture them and give them a reason to buy from you.

Stop ignoring the money in your backyard while you're looking for it in someone else's 💰

Most people think going from video idea to hitting publish takes hours… because, well, that’s how long it’s always taken 🫠 Which means video has only ever been fully accessible to people with oodles of time, or tons of money to throw at it. Decision fatigue is what turns a 10-minute idea into a 3-hour...
